We thank Texas Senator Mayes Middleton's SB1323 and Texas Representative Briscoe Cain's HB2949 for supporting the 2Step Act which honors SGT Adam "2Step" Huckstep LaPorte.

We are working tirelessly to preserve our world for future generations. We are trying to create a law that will make and ensure the way rental car companies validate licenses. Most assume by handing their license to these agencies that this is done and it is not. Tragically there have been fatalities because the people who know there is no law are abusing this transportation system. We are petitioning Congress to enact a new law making it mandatory that rental car companies conduct DMV checks before allowing individuals to rent vehicles. 

Currently, rental car companies are only required to see a "facially valid license," but has no legal requirements to verify if the license is valid. This must change. It's time that they ensure drivers using vehicles can legally drive, especially if it can save lives such as that of SGT. Huckstep!
